Caught up with my girlfriend yesterday. We tend to meet up once a quarter. She's ~12 years my senior. We have known each other at least 20 years now. For the last 10 years or so? She's always having knee issues. She'll be wearing either 1 knee brace or having trouble walking up and down the stairs. Yesterday she had both knees wearing knee guard. I've sent her quite a few balancing exercises to do over the years but she gives up too fast and too easily.
I find myself losing balance after age 40. I read and research on few simple yet effective balancing exercises. All we need is to be disciplined and spent 3-6min. a day working on it.
No machine required. You can use exercise bands or weights but is just as effective as using body weight.
For many, hip starts to hurt when you walk or run too much. For others, hip hurts when we try to compensate our posture due to other parts of body injuries. Posture is something hard to adjust until pain strikes. But there're always exercises to strengthen your glutes and stretching to ease the pain. Whatever it is, do not stop moving altogether and think "rest" is the solution.
