Motivation serves as the compass guiding our actions, steering us towards our goals and aspirations. As we step into 2024, are we having a whole set of goals that we decided to abandon by mid-year? Too many people are all so motivated in December yearly then you see nothing much will be done once we cross another year.
Start Small
If you've made the decision to get fitter, good news is you've taken the first step. The next question is what kind of exercise do you want to choose? There's so much information how and what workouts you should be doing. I always say "Keep it simple".
Start with 10minutes of exercise daily. It'll get your heart rate up, shift your mood to a happier you. And you'll make healthier choices throughout the day. All counts.
Make it Easy
Many of us, the two biggest barriers are time and money. Thankfully these days you can find plenty of fast and easy workouts that cost little or nothing. Example YouTube HIIT strength training. Express 10minutes, also longer at 20minutes. No excuses right?
Give Walking a Go!
Walking is one of the best exercises you can do. Walking is gentle, convenient and best of all - FREE! With 30minutes of brisk walking, you can burn ~ 150 calories. If you want to step it up, pick up the pace! What matters most is setting up healthy habits. Doing any exercises daily, be it 10/20/30 minutes. You'll feel how good it is when you exercise. Love that feeling. Build into your routine. Is not about "all or nothing attitude", do what you can when you can. Make it a daily chore before breakfast. And know that it all makes a difference.
